We are all witness to the magnificence of this land and these skies, my subject matter. I aim to represent these elements with a sense of movement and vibrance, while honoring the Risograph process.

Being from New Mexico is one of my greatest gifts in life. I feel so much love for our people, our land, our resources, and our culture. I also feel so much anger and protection for these things. Our land has been treated as a novelty; a bombing ground; a place that is less than. This juxtaposition has created us, some of the most resistant and passionate people I know.
I see the same resilience in the Palestinian people, who amid genocide and pain have shared their stories, their love, and their respect for their home. I wanted to create a sign that highlighted the similarities in our strengths and our resistance, and to show solidarity for a free Palestine.
